To increase adoption of the Intelligent Mail® barcode (IM™ BC), the USPS® has modified its initial three-stage plan proposing a 90 percent barcode readability tolerance, and announced that from now through November 28, 2009, a mailing with an IM BC readability verification result of 70 percent or higher will pass verification.
